Bei der Bestimmung der Kornrohdichte mit dem Thaulow-Verfahren wird an einer bestimmten Menge einer oberflächentrockenen kernfeuchten Gesteinskörnung in einem wassergefüllten Messtopf nach Art einer pyknometrischen Bestimmung der Rauminhalt der Probe der Gesteinskörnung ermittelt.
